Jim Adams, aka Newepicauthor, the creator of A Unique Title For Me, is hosting SONG-LYRIC-SUNDAY and this week he has chosen the theme: CHRISMAS/HOLIDAY/SNOWMAN
This is going to be an interesting week for me. I am bracing myself for something very special. I am going to tell my parents and my siblings that there is a very special someone in my life. Jack! To be honest, it is hard for me to think about anything else right now. I love him. I always loved him. I lost him. I never want to lose him again.
What a year 2019 has turned out to be. I am wondering what 2020 will bring for me and Jack. I am hoping that there will be happy times ahead. He and I together as often as can be.
I love love songs that can capture some the precious feeling of being in love with someone who is gradually becoming the most important person in your life. This is a gem of a song (all the Swifties are nodding emphatically) that exquisitely expresses that tender longing to remain forever entwined with the person who you want by your side for every step of your life to come.
Apparently, I am not the only one who agrees that Lover, the great rack from Taylor Swift is a goodan! Live acoustic performances are the best…and she does it very very beautifully!
We could leave the Christmas lights up ’til January
This is our place, we make the rules
And there’s a dazzling haze, a mysterious way about you, dear
Have I known you twenty seconds or twenty years?
Can I go where you go?
Can we always be this close forever and ever?
And ah, take me out and take me home
You’re my, my, my, my
Lover
We could let our friends crash in the living room
This is our place, we make the call
And I’m highly suspicious that everyone who sees you wants you
I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, but I want ’em all
Can I go where you go?
Can we always be this close forever and ever?
And ah, take me out and take me home (Forever and ever)
You’re my, my, my, my
Lover
Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand?
With every guitar string scar on my hand
I take this magnetic force of a man to be my
Lover
My heart’s been borrowed and yours has been blue
All’s well that ends well to end up with you
Swear to be over-dramatic and true to my
Lover
And you’ll save all your dirtiest jokes for me
And at every table, I’ll save you a seat
Lover
Can I go where you go?
Can we always be this close forever and ever?
And ah, take me out and take me home (Forever and ever)
You’re my, my, my, my
Oh, you’re my, my, my, my
Darling, you’re my, my, my, my
Lover

I was going to pick this girl up for a date and I asked her what her address was and she only told me the street that she lived on, but she said that I would not miss her house because it was the only one with Christmas lights on, as they left them up all year round.

Oh boy – that seems a tad weird.

I can see where you would really connect with this song because of Jack. I’m glad you have reconnected with the man of your dreams, Mel ❤

I really love the lines “Can I go where you go?
Can we always be this close forever and ever?”
It might seem simple, but every time I hear that my eyes start to moisten with tears. I don’t want anything to seperate Jack and I again. I lost over four years of being with the man I love. I don’t want to miss any more of him.
