Baby I’m So Glad You’re Mine

babby.pngAll day I have had a tune in my head. I wasn’t sure which song it was, I didn’t know why I was singing it. Then I realized…it must have been my brain still sorting through the hundreds (maybe thousands) of songs that feature the word “BABY” throughout them.

Jim Adams, aka Newepicauthor, the creator of A Unique Title For Me, is hosting SONG-LYRIC-SUNDAY and this week he has chosen the theme: BABY

Well…this is the tune I had whirling around the inside of my noggin. I had to do a Google search to identify it. Amy Grant’s “Baby Baby“.. What can I say? It’s a really cute song.

pack.pngWell, I am back home and in for the rest of the evening. I have to work everyday next week (working for money in the day time and charity work almost every evening. So tonight I am going to pack my suitcase for my travel up to Wales at the end of the week.

I need to call my family to ask them what speciality foods they would like me to bring up when I travel. (You can find things in London that you cannot in Snowdonia.) Jack has promised to call me later too. I want to finish the training I need to do for work tonight and have a tidy up. Blah blah lah. I better get to it! It is dark already. Oh I can’t wait for winter to be over!

Baby, baby
I’m taken with the notion
To love you with the sweetest of devotion

Baby, baby
My tender love will flow from
The bluest sky to the deepest ocean

Stop for a minute
Baby I’m so glad you’re mine, yeah
You’re mine

Baby, baby
The stars are shining for you
And just like me I’m sure that they adore you

Baby, baby
Go walking through the forest
The birds above a’ singing you a chorus

Stop for a minute
Baby they’re so glad you’re mine, oh yeah
And ever since the day you put my heart in motion
Baby I realize that there’s just no getting over you

Baby, baby
In any kind of weather
I’m here for you always and forever

Baby, baby
No muscle man could sever
My love for you is true and it will never

Stop for a minute
Baby I’m so glad you’re mine
And ever since the day you put my heart in motion
Baby I realize that there’s just no getting over you

And ever since the day you put my heart in motion
Baby I realize that there’s just no getting over you
Over you

Baby, baby
Always and forever
Baby I’m so glad that
Here for you baby
So glad you’re mine
Baby I’m so glad that
When I think about you it makes me smile
Baby, baby be mine
Baby, I’m so glad that
Don’t stop giving love
Don’t stop, no
Baby I’m so glad that you’re mine
Baby I’m so glad
Baby I’m so glad that
When I think about you it makes me smile

It Just Went Pop!

popA few days ago I seemed to dislocate my knee. I was bending at a funny angle to put a very heavy casserole dish in a drawer…and my knee just kind of popped out to the side. It felt weird, kind of painful, but by no means agonising.

Anyway…that night, it was painful even when I was horizontal in my bed. The next morning the pain seemed to have faded and I could walk as normal. But bending my knee was painful. Anyway, it has been five days now…and my knee keeps popping again.

I have been told to go to see my GP, but I am working right up until I go away, so I won’t have chance to. Someone told me that I need a practitioner to manipulate my knee. I am normally wary of manipulators, manipulation, someone manipulating me, but in this case, it sounds wonderful.

The Night We Met I Knew I Needed You So

Wow! Jim! What are you doing to us?!!! It is so hard to choose a song, when there are hundreds I am sure that will fit the bill!

Well, when I feel spoilt for choice, it is always a song with a personal connection that sways my decision. This week I am thinking about Goldfinch. I remember vividly the night I met him. It took me about five minutes to decide that I needed this man!

decisionsI think I have told the story before, but he did everything right that night. We saw each other three times that weekend. The following weekend he came to visit me in London. A week later, I was back on another train heading up to Coventry, and he drove me to a gorgeous location in Buckinghamshire. Two weeks later he was back in London with me for another weekend.

Aaaaaah sigh! Oh such happy happy memories!

I don’t dwell on it, but at times I have wondered what my life would have been if our little Annabelle Apricot had lived passed eleven weeks.

The song I have chosen for today’s theme “Be My Baby” The Ronettes, always makes me think of Goldfinch – and especially that first night we met!

Bee Mine! Bee My Little Baby!

The night we met I knew I needed you so
And if I had the chance I’d never let you go
So won’t you say you love me
I’ll make you so proud of me
We’ll make ’em turn their heads every place we go

So won’t you, please
(Be my, be my baby) Be my little baby
(My one and only baby) Say you’ll be my darlin’
(Be my, be my baby) Be my baby now
Wha-oh-oh-oh

I’ll make you happy, baby, just wait and see
For every kiss you give me, I’ll give you three
Oh, since the day I saw you
I have been waiting for you
You know I will adore you ’til eternity

So won’t you, please
(Be my, be my baby) Be my little baby
(My one and only baby) Say you’ll be my darlin’
(Be my, be my baby) Be my baby now
Wha-oh-oh-oh-oh

REPEAT!!!!
