Monkeys And Rabbits Loop The Loop

Jim Adams, aka Newepicauthor, the creator of A Unique Title For Me, is hosting SONG-LYRIC-SUNDAY and this week he has chosen the theme: ANIMALS. In case we were hesitant on this theme, he gave us a long list of examples of animals, including monkeys and rabbits, which instantly brought to mind a certain song!

I have been a vegetarian since I was six years old, and when I started singing this song my friends thought it was amusing. I insisted that it is animal shaped crackers, not animals that are being eaten in this song.

I think it is cute! Shirley Temple is the cutest! The night before a special occasion, my mum used to wrap up my golden, but very straight, tresses in rolls of toilet paper in an effort to produce Shirley Temple locks. My sisters and I would be picking out little pieces of toilet paper out of each other’s hair all of the next day! I have not seen many of the productions featuring Shirley Temple, but I love her for this song!

My tip is to try not to listen to it too many times because it could become slightly annoying. But if you don’t think it is cute, I don’t know, you must be from the dark side of the moon or something!
