I have already post one song for today’s theme. But I thought I would wait and see, just in case this amazing song made sensational by the vocals of Yvonne Fair had been featured. I used to think it was a desperate song, and dreaded a scene playing out at a wedding I attended as a guest. But I would love to be a guest watching Dawn French make a scene! Superb!

Wear Your Hair Just For Him

Several songs came to mind, but I chose this one because of the video. It displays the opening credits to the film “My Best Friend’s Wedding”. A movie I liked for so many reasons, but remembered vividly when I was a guest at Jammy’s wedding. But I did not do the whole Julia Roberts thing. I was absolutely fine with it. I knew it had been the right decision to end the courtship with Jammy. I was happy to see him happy.

I had not actually heard this song before I went to see the movie “My Best Friend’s Wedding”…and for a few moments I was a bit worried that it was going to be a very corny and soppy movie. But it turned out to be a great film.

I think this theme has been chosen because Paula, the creator of Light Motifs II has a wedding in her family. I hope you all have a beautiful day Paula, without any crazy Julia Roberts guests trying to sabotage everything. Congratulations and lots of wishes of joy for the happy couple from Caramel 🙂
