For Day Three of the 3-Day Lyrical Challenge I have chosen another song that I found myself singing to my beloved Goldfinch this weekend. I could not help myself. I was gazing at him and feeling so much joy, his eyes so soft and tender.
The thought that not long from now…
…I will be feeling low,
…and it will be cold,
And that’s when the moments I have shared will become even more precious, memories to warm me and make me glow…
…I will be thinking of him
…and the way he looked at me!
Oh, but he’s lovely! There’s nothing for me but to love him!
I hope he never changes, but keeps that breathless charm, because I love him!
Someday when I’m awfully low
When the world is cold
I will feel a glow just thinking of you
And the way you look tonight
Oh, but your lovely
With your smile so warm and your cheek so soft
There is nothing for me, but to love you
Just the way you look tonight
With each word your tenderness grows
Tearing my fear apart
And that laugh, that wrinkles your nose
It touches my foolish heart
Lovely, never never change
Keep that breathless charm
Won’t you please arrange it because I, I love you?
Just the way you look tonight
Just the way you look tonight

It’s such a fun challenge. I wanted to post love songs this time around because I am soon to part with my lovely Goldfinch who is moving back to Australia soon – sob sob!

He is indeed. I met him last October, and he told me he is here in England working on a project that was due to finish in March 2018. But as is often the case in construction there have been lots of delays. But now the project is over. He always intended on returning to Australia.

I hesitate to like it because I don’t really, but your stories will love on and who knows what the future may hold. Some travel may be in the forecast. ☺️😁
Enjoy every minute!! xoxo

I am tempted.
It is kind of complicated. He has his own house over there with five tenants living in it, so it is going to take a while for him to sort things out. When he first moves back he will be moving in with his parents until one of his tenants moves on elsewhere.
I have two relatives over in his home city. One involved in politics (I am neutral in politics) and the other is there after losing reputation here in England because of being involved in a scandal and crime – kind of in hiding from the world back here.
I can’t imagine putting myself in close proximity of either of them!

Ah, that makes sense.

Also, I think Goldfinch and I, although it has been wonderful to be with him, probably do not have the same goals in life. I want to get back to being a full-time international volunteer. He has different goals. Eventually there may be challenges if we were going in two different directions.
In all honesty, I think the kind of man I could support and be a in love with forever is a man who wants to immerse himself in volunteer work as much as I do.
After what happened with my ex-flatmate (Jack) my prospects are not looking great.
