Yesterday I mentioned I want this to be a Goldfinch themed challenge. Goldfinch is waiting to hear from an Australian company he has been in negotiations with. So basically, any day now I am expecting to receive word from Goldfinch to say he is booking his flights and…

…and well, it will be “Goodbye Sweet Goldfinch”…xx

In the meantime, it is so pleasant to dwell on what a wonderful year I have had with him. He has been an unexpected blessing and bonus in my life. But it is nearly time to let go. Sad, oh so very sad…but he warned me a year ago this would happen.

I have chosen this song…because the chorus makes me think of how I feel at the thought of losing him. I just want him to put his arms around me and let me believe that I’m not about to lose him.
