So You Think You’re Special?

Well, in many respects, you are. You are one of a kind. Unique on this planet.

I think the picture above is an ice-crystal. But when I first saw it I thought of a snowflake. As a snowflake floats along it becomes a masterpiece of construction. I remember as a child reading that someone had been studying snowflakes – what a job! – and had stated that no two have been discovered that are exactly alike. There are enough possible combinations of patterns to suggest that there will never be two identical snowflakes discovered.

Does it matter? Snowflakes being unique? Is that important in the long run? Well, you may judge that for yourself. But if it is notable that snowflakes are unique, how much more so that you are unique, one of a kind, extremely special and immensely precious. Don’t ever doubt it. This world is not right at the moment. Sadly too many people float through life unappreciated. Well…that will change. Don’t ever doubt it.
