Say Cheese!

Wow! THE GREAT BLOGGERS’ BAKE-OFF 2020 SUMMER PICNIC has been far more spectacular than we would ever have imagined. It is hard to keep up with all the photos and comments and love that have poured in from our international WordPress community.

I have been glued to my laptop all weekend, with the company of lovely man you know as Jack. It is the perfect time to have a cuppa. We don’t have long left before we pass all the responsibility over to our amazing judge Jeanne, who has the extremely difficult task of deciding who will be the 2020 STAR BAKER!

While Jack puts the kettle on (hint hint Jack) to make me a cuppa, we have another perfect PICNIC snack from  Robbie, the creator of Robbie’s inspiration. Robbie has given me a whole new take on scones! She made these scrummy Cheese and Olive Scones. Here is one of Robbie’s posts where she shared them with us on her website:

Now…I have to admit Robbie really set me a challenge in another way. She probably did not realize that I make it my mission to find a musical connection to every single BAKING and PICNIC creation, and so far, I think I have done quite well. But searching for songs about olives and scones yielded a disappointing selection of songs. So I went with CHEESE!!! Say “Cheeeeeeeese and Olive Scones“!!!

Feeling Thirsty?

The level of talent from the great bloggers of WordPress is phenomenal – I am sure you will agree. Keeping up with the incredible parade of BAKING and PICNIC creations is thirsty work!

Thank goodness  Robbie, the creator of Robbie’s inspiration, has supplied us with this spectacular home-made fruit punch.

We are going to check with Robbie, at the end of the day…we will announce which blogger has been the closest to identifying the ingredients in this fabulous cocktail!

Take Us To Wonderland

Our relaxing Sunday morning continues with more beautiful flowers. But not just flowers…we have kittens too! And…..CHOCOLATE GANACHE! I am in paradise…a paradise officially called DINAH IN WONDERLAND.

Time To Rock Things Up

If you have been following THE GREAT BLOGGERS’ BAKE-OFF today, we want to say thank you for all of your support. There have been some phenomenal photos sent in and I am just feeling really sorry for Jeanne who is going to have a tough time judging this year!

Well….we are barely half way through. But it is Saturday evening and that means it is time to ROCK THIS PARTY!!! Yes we have even more amazing BAKING and PICNIC creations for you.

I am so jealous of Michael ending up with such a cool cake! My school friends and I tried to start a band at school. (I was supposed to be the bass guitarist, but I gave up when I started my job at the record company in Manchester and decided music management was more in my reach that learning to play an instrument.) I love hearing drums at live music events.

Bun Baby Bun!

I am just going to shout out to the lovely bloggers who are still sending me photos of their BAKING and PICNIC creations – you are all fabulous and yes I will make sure we add you you the party! Yes, I will forward your photos to our wonderful judge Jeanne! I had a feeling there may be some last minute submissions!!! I am here by the way…and Jack is looking after me by making me drinks. But all morning I have been preparing more new posts with the photos I woke up to this morning!! Fitting every blogger in is such a wonderful problem to have!

Robbie, the creator of Robbie’s inspiration, sent me her gorgeous photos weeks ago! I love the variety of BAKES she came up with, which all look so yummy! She has supplied us with one treat after another! You will see more of Robbie’s BAKING throughout the weekend! I have a feeling we would never go hungry if we part of Robbie’s family.

As soon as Robbie sent in her photos my heart just leapt. You will see more of her gorgeous BAKING CREATIONS later on, but we just had to start with this one!
