Needing Some Style Advice

Family summer garden party for a special celebration coming up very soon. I opened my wardrobe and groaned, “I have nothing to wear” (which is not true). Jack picked up on my whining and told me he wanted to treat me to a new dress. This is exciting to me because all my dresses came from charity shops or as “hand-me-downs” from friends. New dress!!! It’s like the most exciting thing to happen this year!!!

Do you think I can pick one? Jack is being patient…but he has to place an order very soon to get it on next day delivery. I have narrowed it down to five dresses…but I am stuck now.

I would love your opinion. Bear in mind I am a caramel blonde (my hair is very long at the moment, but I am ringing every salon I can find to ask of I can make a last minute appointment to trim my straggly ends) and of an hourglass figure. That means Dress 2 and 5 are not the style of dress that suit my shape. Anyway…what do you think?

 

 

It Just Went Pop!

A few days ago I seemed to dislocate my knee. I was bending at a funny angle to put a very heavy casserole dish in a drawer…and my knee just kind of popped out to the side. It felt weird, kind of painful, but by no means agonising.

Anyway…that night, it was painful even when I was horizontal in my bed. The next morning the pain seemed to have faded and I could walk as normal. But bending my knee was painful. Anyway, it has been five days now…and my knee keeps popping again.

I have been told to go to see my GP, but I am working right up until I go away, so I won’t have chance to. Someone told me that I need a practitioner to manipulate my knee. I am normally wary of manipulators, manipulation, someone manipulating me, but in this case, it sounds wonderful.

Calling All Males – Help!!!

I need help…seriously.  I am throwing my plight upon all males out there and asking for genuine honest suggestions?  What do I buy as a gift for Goldfinch for a special event that is coming up soon?

I am totally stuck…my mind has drawn a blank.  I am looking through websites and none of them are helping.

He is in his forties.  He does not drink, or smoke, he likes art – but I have already bought him two art sets and given him my bakes and chocolates galore!  It can’t be an enormous or heavy gift as he is going back to Australia in three months.

I am not great with gifts anyway…but, at the moment I feel quite hopeless.  So tell me what would a man want as a gift???  Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!!!
