One Way Or Another

I think I sort of know what “New Wave Music” means – I can think of so many eighties and perhaps nineties bands that I believe qualify within this genre. But still, I felt the need to consult with t’internet just to make sure I was in the right neck of the woods. I found a couple of websites that included that fabulous Blondie as a New Wave band. Did I need any other excuse to pick a terrific Blondie track?

There are a lot of Blondie tracks I like, but this is one of my favourites “One Way Or Another”. I don’t know if you can believe everything you read on t’internet (lol – did I just say that? Kids – you absolutely cannot believe much of what you read on t’internet!!!) but it was suggested that the lyrics on based on the behaviour of an ex-boyfriend who stalked Debby Harry after their break-up. Allegedly, the song was a way defuse the stress that situation caused and handle the saga with some humour.

I have always love the guitar riff – it is such a top track!!
