This Is Why I A Vegetarian

When I became a vegetarian at the age of six years old, I didn’t know a lot about animal welfare, the effects of mass farming of cattle on climate change or any of the safety issues that have led to meat scares and mass culling. I just loved vegetables. I loved green vegetables in particular.

Yesterday…I had fruit for breakfast (strawberries, blackberries and banana)…I had a spicy stir-fry for lunch (with peppers, cabbage, courgettes, onions, garlic, beans and much more) and last night, I had the most amazing salad – little gem lettuce, spinach, spring onions, tomatoes, peppers, sweetcorn, herbs…and other bits and bobs…and it was just so so tasty good.

I loved everything I ate yesterday. The taste of everything was wonderful, and I also felt good…energized, happy tummy and happy me. This is why at the age of six years old, I decided I was going to be a vegetarian – because I just love vegetables….and fruit of course.
