I love summer, but when it comes to hot hot hot temperatures I do have to be careful. I think it is every since my time in West Africa. I just grew in enormous appreciation for the difference that remaining hydrated has when the air and ground become sizzling.

Many of you may know that for the very first time, we are being told that we are facing a national emergency as temperatures are expected to rise higher than England has ever known.
My plan is to try and hide away in my little coolicious nest and drink buckets of water. I just don’t think I would be able to hack 40 degree heat.
I was on vacay in Italy once during a heatwave… 42C in the shade. You could take a shower and 5 minutes later you were so wet with sweat that you were sticking to your chair. I definitely recommend staying indoors.
