It’s ten o’clock here in England, which means of course – poetry hour!! It is time for another of our very special poets who have penned wonderful poems inspired by THE 2021 GREAT BLOGGERS’ BAKE OFF FESTIVAL OF LOVE!
Yesterday, our special guest poets were:
Gentleman Dave (The Poet’s Kiss) – “Recipe For Love Cake“
…and…
Puman (Paeansunpluggedblog) – “Love Is A Piece Of Cake“
Yesterday, I somehow managed to link the wrong poem when we featured Puman as our special guest poet! I don’t know how I managed to make such a silly mistake! But please do visit the correct poem. Puman has really honoured us by penning this stunning poem for the BAKE OFF, and I do feel sad I let her down.
Please do visit their sites and read their wonderful heart warming poems!

Our next special guest poet is our dear friend Kristian, the creator of Tales From The Mind Of Kristian, who has penned a poem that really touched our hearts. What a tough time we have had as in so many parts of the world, we were protected those we love by observing stay at home mandates. There is no denying that it was challenging for so many of us. After many months of sacrifices, many of us have started to be able to enjoy the chance to meet together again.
Surely we will never take for granted the importance of being with our loved ones, sharing tea and cake with them, as well as lots of hugs!!
Kristian’s delightful poem “Love And Cake” is like the warmest hug! We love it. We are just sharing the first two lines with you here, because we would love you to visit Kristian’s site to read the entire poem!
It’s that time of year again
When thoughts turn to something tasty
LOVE AND CAKE
You can read the whole of Kristian’s charming poem “Love And Cake” by clicking the link below which will take you straight to his site:

Its also mine faviourite time in whole day. But I wrote poetry not on specific time but I wrote when my emotions are on peak and that make my pen to write my emotions.

I am utterly baffled at how I managed to link a poem you published in 2018 Puman!! I really must have been losing it by the time I was working on the post. I am just so glad you told me when you spotted it!!

Aaaaw Puman…you are so sweet. In all honesty, I am too exhausted to be stressed! It’s just strange. Jack teased me when I told him what I had done – he says if it is the first sign of madness. lol – I told him if he carries on teasing me I might not bake for him again until next year!

I so remember all the fun you and Jack had during the bake-off last year!

He is with me today Puman, he was tied up yesterday. It has been a tough time for him. Last weekend, his phone seemed to ring every few minutes. We lots of colleagues in Haiti, and in Pakistan and some in Kabul, and well yes, he was in demand. I am very proud of him because he keeps calm and knows how to get things moving. But he hardly slept a wink at all last weekend. He looks as if he needs to sleep for a week.

I hope both of you get to rest after this. I know your Jack is an exceptional man, but you both have had a long weekend. Take a break and indulge in some TLC. ❤️

Loving the poem – and yeah totally agree with the sentiment – you cannot overrate just sitting down for a cuppa and a bickie with family. Not being able to do that for around a year, made me realize, never to be too busy for each other again.
