Another re-blog for you – don’t worry I am not breaking social distancing rules – we are still in a National Lockdown. Work is still crazy busy and I have come home and have to do online training for the rest of my waking moments. Grrr! Happy memories and giggles in these posts I wrote in yesteryear. I hope you are enjoying them as much as I am.
I did not have to work yesterday because of the over-time I did at the weekend.
So I spent the day with a really good friend. It was a lovely day, graced with lots of tea and cake. In the evening, she asked me if I wanted to choose one of her DVDs to watch. I looked through and was pleased to see a film I was sure I would enjoy. “Miss Potter”, the story of Beatrix Potter starring Renee Zellweger.
It was perfect. As well as the heart-lifting scenery and the charming story of how her books came to be published, I also watched attentively at the very sad challenge she faced. I don’t want to ruin the film for anyone who has not seen it by stating what happens. But it is a lovely lovely film, but you will need a box of tissues nearby when you watch it.
