Another Cheesy Post For You

I have woken up without any appetite at all. So today I have just had coffee. I am sure a brisk walk out in the cold crisp air will help. I am looking forward to snacking on vegan cheeses and goats cheese with crackers. I am vegetarian (not vegan) but have a dairy intolerance. Goat’s cheese does not disagree with me, but cow’s cheese is a baddie.

My sister Milly was originally going to be hosting us in Snowdonia. She had bought vegan cheeses for me. Then, Wales changed their restrictions to only allow two households to meet today rather than three. So Milly and her family were going to travel up to England to allow three households to meet. And then….Tier 4 was put into restrictions meaning we were not allowed to mix with any other households or travel outside of this area.

So….as I was so excited about the prospect of vegan cheeses and crackers, I went out and bought myself some to cheer myself up. And it will cheer me up – when I am hungry!

In the meantime, I love all the comments and videos and links that have been left on my CARAMEL’S COCKTAIL CLUB post!!!!!!!!! It has already been great fun and I am sure there is lots more in store for today!

I have been curled up on the sofa, drinking coffee and watching “Singing In The Rain” I am happy. I am really looking forward to chatting with my family and friends. (Jack has already called three times to make sure I am ok! I keep telling him I am fine!!!) I am sure there will be a lot of cheese consumed today! I am very pleased with my vegan cheese!

    1. Oh yes – most of North Wales is what we call Snowdonia. I am sure you have heard of the tallest mountain in Wales – Mount Snowdon – well there are a lot of stunning peaks and lakes and valleys – all protected and much loved in Snowdonia National Park.

Parts of which are so beautiful they could be out of a fairy tale! ❀

  1. That was T and I last night. I made fries and gravy for lunch. Later I took fresh french bread added margarine (should have grabbed butter) and cheese…..lots and lots of shredded cheese. Baked it to deliciousness. We were going to do nachos too but that was a bit too much cheese even for us lol. Happy Christmas Mel. πŸ™‚

    1. lol – I was not able to face the cheese in the end. I woke up without any appetite at all! I made a curry this afternoon but did not want to eat it, so it has slipped into the freezer. I had some spinach and mushrooms I wanted to use so I made a small omelette which was just perfect. I am sure tomorrow I will feel more hungry. my fridge is packed with goodies!

  2. Merry Christmas to the angel who sits on top of the Christmas tree and grants good wishes! I saw your bar, but I’m afraid the line was dauntingly long, so I’m sending my best wishes on this post instead! Stay safe sweetie and I’m glad you have a little celebration with cheese. Cheese is never EVER wrong!

I love cheese so much, but real cheese does make me suffer. I am looking forward to trying these vegan cheeses.
Hope you had a wonderful day! ❀

    1. Thank you Tanya! I lost my appetite today. I did manage a little omelette this evening. I am still looking forward to trying those cheeses though!

    1. Trying to eat cheese when you are already full is not a good idea.
