Friday Night And The Lights Are Low

Jim Adams, aka Newepicauthor, the creator ofย A Unique Title For Me, is hosting SONG-LYRIC-SUNDAY and this week he has chosen the theme: DAYS OF THE WEEK

I was torn between a Monday song and a Friday song…but in the end it was the party song that won out!

Now obviously, we are not going out dancing because of lockdown restrictions – but there is nothing to stop you from having a dance around your living room to this top tune!!! I have danced to this on stage several times for charity entertainment shows – it always brings a bg cheer!

This is ABBA with “Dancing Queen“!!!

Ooh, you can dance, you can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl, watch that scene
Digging the dancing queen

Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for a place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come to look for a king

Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music’s high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
You’re in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance

You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine
Oh, yeah

You can dance, you can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl, watch that scene
Digging the dancing queen

You’re a teaser, you turn ’em on
Leave them burning and then you’re gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
You’re in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance

You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine
Oh, yeah

You can dance, you can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl, watch that scene
Digging the dancing queen

Digging the dancing queen

      1. I did post another comment that got spam-flagged. Check your spam comments.

In my pretty big music collection, I have at least one song with the word Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday in the title. I don’t have Thursday, though, and my only Wednesday song is a pretty obscure one. I believe there was a band called Thursday, but I was never into them and I couldn’t tell you any of their songs off the top of my head.

        1. That’s great Greg. It’s not me who hosts Song-Lyric-Sunday though. Tag your song choice onto Jim’s post, then lots and lots of bloggers will see it โค

My spam folder would probably take hours to sort out. I have been neglecting it and it is now pretty out of control!

      1. My hubby doesn’t care for them but that’s cause he is a rocker….The Who, The Beatles, etc…He’s 10 years older than me so it’s understandable. ๐Ÿ™‚
