Welcome To Canada!

It is Day Two of THE GREAT BLOGGERS’ BAKE-OFF 2020 SUMMER PICNIC and we have another amazing day packed full of BAKING and PICNIC creations. Just wait to see what we have in store!

After our party last night, we wanted to start Sunday morning on a serene note. We have our fabulous Margot Hamilton Margot Hamilton, the creator of Margot Dreams of Baking, starting off Day Two with Canadian Butter Tarts.

I was so pleased when I saw these because I grew up near a town named Wigan (famous for pies) and one of the most popular pies back home is a Butter Pie. So to see that Canada has a Butter Tart is awesome!

I can’t imagine starting a Sunday morning on a more lovely note than scenes from the spectacular Canada! Thank you Margot for a very lovely start to our day!

      1. Yes. They use a combination of brown sugar, corn syrup (or golden syrup) butter vanilla and egg for the filling so it is sweet. The filling comes out with caramel notes after baking.


      2. I can break the recipe down into grams and ml if you’re interested since our measuring cups in Canada have both metric and imperial
