THE CARAMEL CRUNCH #14

CARAMEL CRUNCH1

WHEN IT COMES TO THE CRUNCH – WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

A blogger who has been reading your posts keeps on making rather acrid comments at the end of your posts. They seem to be increasingly critical and making fun of your character. You try to respond in good humour, but the blogger seems to continue with more sarcastic and cutting remarks.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

What is THE CARAMEL CRUNCH? Well, it’s all about decisions. When it comes to THE CRUNCH what would you do?

One of the definitions of the word CRUNCH is:

a crucial point or situation

 – generally involving a decision with weighty consequences

  • Your response can be a quickie. Please feel free to send a comment to say what you would do, and if you have time or are inclined, please feel free to explain your decision.
  • If you would like to create a post with a longer explanation of your decision, please pingback to THE CARAMEL CRUNCH post. (Or copy and paste a link to your post in the comments section – please feel free.)

If you know anything about CRUSHED CARAMEL, you will probably realize I am a gentle soul, so my questions are not supposed to be terrifying! What I am hoping for really is to see a variety of responses. Afterall, it’s pretty obvious that WordPress bloggers are from a huge variety of backgrounds and cultures. It would be fascinating to learn more about how we as individuals make decisions.

Some of the questions I am going to ask are questions I have discussed with friends when we have been having coffee or dinner. I often find there is no clear right or wrong. It can be so much a matter of our individual experiences and outlook. I find it fascinating how very different some of us are when it comes to decision making.

We all have different outlooks, and may make different decisions. I am really looking forward to learning WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

One Way Street, Decisions, Opportunity

    1. I agree Sadje. I love seeing comments, but I have occasionally edited comments because of the choice of strong language someone has used. I don’t want that on my blog. I have had a 99% positive experience with blogging, but very occasionally I have been baffled about some of the comments I received.

      1. I was just reading a few of the comments Suze of Suziland has posted as an example of spam. They are hilarious. But when I get such comments, I just block and delete them.

  1. If a blogger was leaving neagative coments on my posts, and they kept doing it, I’d block their IP address, which wp allows you to do. I’ve never had to do that, but I would if I had to. Then they couldnt visit your blog any more. xoxox

    1. I blocked a couple of very strange commenters. Their comments were so odd and rather obscene. At first I thought it was enough to ignore their comments and trash them…but they kept coming, so in the end I just blocked them.

      1. Glad you could, I’ve never really had to do that. I hope if I ever do have to do that it’s easy enough to do. At least I know the setting is there if I need it 💕😘

  2. I guess it would all depend on their comments, if they found something of mine to be offensive or didn’t like my post, i would actually explore this with them. I am always curious of what their stance was and what to be open to a conversation. So I would not necessary block them but definitely touch base with them.

    1. I think I have been very fortunate so far – 99% of comments have been lovely. A while back there were a couple of bloggers sending obscene comments – I did block them. Then there was another blogger who just kept on insinuating I was a twit! At first I tried to be diplomatic with them, but when they continued to say I was stupid, I just decided I would ignore their comments….and they seemed to get bored and leave me alone.
