Still Clinging Tightly To Her Hand

This is the second beautiful song that I wanted to feature when I saw the theme Bee had chosen for today’s LOVE IS IN DA BLOG Music Festival.

Today’s theme is:

A love song for a parent

People, Woman, Kid, Child, Baby, BoyYou can find all of Bee’s themes and all the tunes that other bloggers are featuring over at Bee Halton’s site The Bee Writes…

It’s fourteen years since I left home. But everywhere I go, I carry my parents with me. Their training and example still shape my thinking, decisions and conduct.

Most of my memories of life as a little girl have me tightly clinging onto momma’s hand. It was a wonderful way to learn about the world around me. I know that wherever I go, thanks to their wonderful patient child-rearing, I never really feel alone. I always feel there is a hand I can reach out to whenever I am scared.

You may have seen the other song I chose, which I love. But it did not seem right to give this little beauty of a song a miss. I find it makes me a little teary-eyed, thinking about mumma bear and all the special moments I have engraved on my heart.

You Mean The World To Me

for robinI found myself torn been two very moving songs today. When I think of my parents, I know how very very rich I am. They gave us the best training and example. I could not be more blessed.

Bee, the creator of The Bee Writes…, is hosting a music festival, which I have to say, is pretty darn tootin cool! Don’t you think! By the looks of things her themes for this month long festival are going to rival Glastonbury!

Today’s theme is:

A love song for a parent

This is Bee’s post featuring today’s theme. Join in the music festival by linking your own song choice to Bee’s post:

I heard this song a while back and I planned to use it for inspiration for another post I was working on. But when I saw today’s theme, I decided to use it. I love the sound of Freya’s voice. I am not exactly sure what the song is about, but the video makes it seem as if it is a relationship with a parent. Gorgeous song.
