I’d Marry You With Paper Rings

happy dayBee, the creator of The Bee Writes…, is hosting a music festival, which I have to say, is pretty darn tootin cool! Don’t you think! By the looks of things her themes for this month long festival are going to rival Glastonbury!

I couldn’t think of a song for today’s theme. Well, “Band Of Gold” came to mind…but I was looking for something a bit different. But when I was looking through Taylor Swifts discography to find a country music love song at the weekend, I found this song that mentions rings – paper rings.

Today’s theme is:

A love song containing jewellery

I think the idea is finding you are in love with someone, and caring about little else. I like the sentiment in this song, and it is very fun too. Great little pop rock beat to it.

          1. Yeah, I understand. I’m eclectic when it comes to music and books and movies. Have you heard the song Land Down Under by Men At Work? I highly recommend that song.

    1. It’s fun isn’t it! I really like the sentiment of paper rings. I have friends who make such a fuss about their Bobby Dazzler when they get engaged. I always fear it puts pressure on someone to be able to afford an expensive ring. I want to be proud to say I would be more than happy with a paper ring if I could have you.

  1. Exactly! It shouldn’t only be all about the ‘bling’ and extravagance, but the emotional love between two people. Funny fact – I first married my husband at a ‘mock’ wedding, and we had a paper ring. I still have it somewhere. 🙂
