THE CARAMEL CRUNCH #9

CARAMEL CRUNCH1

WHEN IT COMES TO THE CRUNCH – WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

You are driving (or travelling) to an important event and you are late. You see a fellow traveller have an accident. There are a lot of other travellers nearby who might have also seen the incident.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

CARAMEL CRUNCH2.png

What is THE CARAMEL CRUNCH? Well, it’s all about decisions. When it comes to THE CRUNCH what would you do?

One of the definitions of the word CRUNCH is:

a crucial point or situation

 – generally involving a decision with weighty consequences

  • Your response can be a quickie. Please feel free to send a comment to say what you would do, and if you have time or are inclined, please feel free to explain your decision.
  • If you would like to create a post with a longer explanation of your decision, please pingback to THE CARAMEL CRUNCH post. (Or copy and paste a link to your post in the comments section – please feel free.)

If you know anything about CRUSHED CARAMEL, you will probably realize I am a gentle soul, so my questions are not supposed to be terrifying! What I am hoping for really is to see a variety of responses. Afterall, it’s pretty obvious that WordPress bloggers are from a huge variety of backgrounds and cultures. It would be fascinating to learn more about how we as individuals make decisions.

Some of the questions I am going to ask are questions I have discussed with friends when we have been having coffee or dinner. I often find there is no clear right or wrong. It can be so much a matter of our individual experiences and outlook. I find it fascinating how very different some of us are when it comes to decision making.

We all have different outlooks, and may make different decisions. I am really looking forward to learning WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Still Waiting For My Star To Fall!

staAs this is the last day of the LOVE IS IN DA BLOG Music Festival, I thought I would post a second song for today. Why not hey! For today’s theme, Bee said we could pick whatever we wanted to!

My second song makes me think of a certain someone! You can guess all you like, my lips are sealed. Anyway…still waiting for my star to fall. But keeping myself busy in the meantime!

This was Bee’s original post explaining the music festival and featuring all of the themes that we have enjoyed this month:

Nothings Gonna Stop Us

Today is not just the last day of February…it is also the last day of the LOVE IS IN DA BLOG Music Festival. It has been so much fun to join in and see the great songs chosen by other bloggers who have taken part.

This was Bee’s original post explaining the music festival and featuring all of the themes that we have enjoyed this month:

anys

For today’s theme, Bee said we could pick whatever we wanted to! So I picked a song that I am calling the theme tune for Jack and me! Ever since the miracle of him getting in touch and us making peace…and then ending up in each other’s arms…I do feel more confident about the future. There will be challenges. Jack being abroad so often is something that I am finding very difficult…but Goldfinch was on the opposite side of the planet, and it did not stop the flames burning.

Apparently today is the day that women are supposed to propose marriage to their boyfriends. Very wisely, my boyfriend has made sure he is in another country. 😀 I am looking forward to seeing him very much. But he has nothing to fear, I have no plans to propose to him.

I am proposing to spoil him when he is back here in my arms though!

Can Anyone Tell Me?

It’s hard to plan when the whole world seems to be shifting around you.

What will tomorrow bring? Nobody seems to know. Anxiety over the cloud brewing on the horizon. One storm after another comes battering. Waves of panic over a disease that seems to spread like wildfire and hunts down the most vulnerable.  Billions of dollars disappear due to a lack of confidence about the future. Is it safe to go here? Is it safe to go there? Is it safe to shut ourselves away and hide?

It’s not just me. Everyone I speak to is uncertain. Everyone is wondering what will happen next? Will winter ever end? Will summer ever return? Will we be able to breathe a sigh of relief?

Map, Tourism, Lost, Direction, GuideWill the travellers stop and ask for directions? I see them smiling calmly, quietly waiting for anyone that wishes to pause and ask questions or take something to read. I see them everyday, in every corner of London.

They are not afraid. Neither do they fear storm nor pestilence. They do not lack confidence. Their bright eyes and sincere smiles reassure me that I can plan for the future. I can plan to live. They inspire me, they fill me with hope. I cannot help be in awe of their resilience, their faith and their love in enduring all manner of obnoxious remarks.

I often wonder to myself, is it someone like me that makes it worthwhile to them? When I stop and tell them I think they are wonderful and pick up something to read during my lunch break. They are always there, in English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Urdu and other languages I am sure.

You Took All The Colours Away

Fog, Dawn, Landscape, Sunrise, NatureBee, the creator of The Bee Writes…, is hosting a music festival, which I have to say, is pretty darn tootin cool! Don’t you think! By the looks of things her themes for this month long festival are going to rival Glastonbury!

Today’s theme is:

A love song that contains colour

Check out Bee’s post below for a list of the themes (a lot of love going on as you can see!) in the post below:

Although this song has BLACK in the title, you will find mention of blue, green and white as well. I do love this song! It is sad, yes…but it expresses so well the sadness when someone we love has left us.

I Lost My Holiday Snaps

Last year I travelled 10,100 miles to spend summer (or winter in Australia) with Goldfinch. I loved every moment.

However, something awful happened. My tablet did not work properly. I lost all of my photographs. I was absolutely gutted!

Ever since then, my life has taken a course that has meant it would be unlikely that I would be heading back to Adelaide with a camera. But things change. Things happen. Life throws up surprises.

Anyway…before I do anything, I need to get myself a camera that works. A couple of my friends have offered to lend me cameras, but they are too fancy, I would be terrified to break them or lose them. Nope, I am going to have to shell out for a camera myself.

Strong As Autumn Blows

autBee, the creator of The Bee Writes…, is hosting a music festival, which I have to say, is pretty darn tootin cool! Don’t you think! By the looks of things her themes for this month long festival are going to rival Glastonbury!

Today’s theme is:

A song about love in autumn

Check out Bee’s post below for a list of the themes (a lot of love going on as you can see!) in the post below:

I could have used this song for one of the other seasonal themes Bee has included in her LOVE IS IN DA BLOG music festival. Although this is a song that mentions all seasons, I have saved it for autumn because it is the kind of song I would choose to listen to in the autumn as everything is fading. The lyrics are actually very touching.

You’re My Lover

I don’t pay much attention to charts, and I have not done so since I was a teenager. But I believe this song ended up right at the top of the charts. Well deserved I say! Great love song!

He Is Taking Me Out For The Day

I found out today that….wait for it….I will have an afternoon off work this week! Yay!!! Everyone cheer!!! I was chattering away to a friend of mine this evening (he is also a friend of Jack’s and he seems very pleased that Jack and I are mended) and he offered to take me out for a good time on my afternoon off.

Ooooooh! An adventure with George! Where will he take me? I can’t wait! He is always going to interesting places and hanging out with interesting people. I am really pleased at the thought of spending the afternoon with him.

Then that evening, I am going to what I believe will be a small party. Well, my friend in Tufnell Park has a tiny flat, so it can’t be too big. Although one summer I do remember about thirty of us squeezing inside her flat. That was because a musician we know was staying with her. So a lot of us popped in (invitation only) and listened to a private performance.

Anyway….I need fun! It sounds as if fun is ahead for me!!! Yay!!!

There are so many pop songs about love! But I want to pick another Sigala track. Full of energy and excitement! That’s the kind of love I like, love that energises you!
