I’m Spinning Around, Get Out Of My Way

Jack told me which song he wanted me to feature on today’s SONG-LYRIC-SUNDAY, and as you may be aware, I chose a different song! So I am going to be in trouble when he realizes. But that will be fun!

However, I happened to love Jack’s choice! It is a great dance track, by an artist who I was a huge fan of when I was a little girl. And Caramel is not ashamed to admit to still love Kylie Minogue’s tracks – despite generally not opting for poppy music anymore. Jack was at Glastonbury (he gets to go everywhere) and he said she was phenomenal. I believe him after watching clips on Youtube. I would have loved to be partying in my wellies at Glastonbury to Kylie!

…and this is Jack’s choice of song, which I highly approve of! Time to jump up on the dance floor, even if that means your living room carpet. I hope this track has you in a spin as much as it does to me and Jack! I read that it was originally intended for Paula Abdul, but the song was instead given to Kylie to record. I am glad they did!

Never Settle Down

Jack told me which song to feature today! He has chosen a great song! However, I am going to relegate his first choice to my second choice. So if later today nobody else has featured Jack’s choice, I will give it a spin. Jack loves music, and he thinks SONG-LYRIC-SUNDAY is a great idea – he is right isn’t he! We love it! It’s great that Jim is providing us with some fabulous themes with a huge array of musical choice available for us to take our pick.

Instead of obeying Jack, I am going to feature a song that I thought could have also fitted in with another recent theme (I think it was  DRIFTER/VAGABOND?) Although, I would have a huge problem with the kind of man the song describes, the song itself just makes me laugh. I love it! I often find myself singing it just to amuse myself.

So ignore that the song makes the singer sound like a total sleazoid – just tap your feet and sing along to “The Wanderer” – as he tells us without any shame that he roams around around around, around!
