Wowie! A Whole Year For Me!

1 Year Anniversary Achievement

Happy Anniversary with WordPress.com!

You registered on WordPress.com one year ago.

Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging.

Well – I have to admit I am rather surprised at myself. I did not think I would still be writing on WordPress. I hate looking at my statistics page – but it tells me there are over 700 posts! Very kindly, it doesn’t tell me if any of them are any good!

What a year it has been. Some memorable events. I am so grateful for all your lovely comments while I was preparing myself to say goodbye to wonderful Goldfinch. And many thanks for letting me work through some of what has happened in connection with Jack. And I especially appreciate the support I received this year when I had a loss that I don’t believe I will ever forget.

internet romanceIt is only because of the encouragement and support of so many other bloggers, with whom I love interacting, that I am still doing this a year after I started. Lots of thanks and lots of hugs owed to many!

It is definitely other bloggers that are the highlight of having a WordPress site. So many lovely bloggers whose posts I look forward to popping up in my WP Reader.

  • My highlight of the year is definitely THE GREAT BLOGGERS’ BAKE-OFF
  • I love all the challenges created by Rory, creator of A Guy Called Bloke and K9 Doodlepip!
  • I love SHARE-YOUR-WORLD now hosted by Melanie, creator of sparksfromacombustiblemind
  • I love SONG-LYRIC-SUNDAY now hosted by Jim, creator of A Unique Title For Me
  • I am grateful for all the great bloggers who have hosted writing prompts that have inspired so many posts that I would never have written without them. Special thanks to the prompt hosts:

The Haunted Wordsmith

This, That, and The Other

Sarah Elizabeth Moore

Light Motifs II

Sue Vincent’s Daily Echo

and many many more!

I shall celebrate when I am home from work by finishing the posts I intend to schedule for publishing later this week.

tipsy2

    1. Thanks Paula!
I just came home from work and I am having a beer to celebrate and deciding which posts to work on.
I can’t believe a whole year has passed!
It’s all great fun though – apart from one scary blogger who thinks I acts as if I am 12 and wants me to grow up.
lol – I have loved this year of blogging! 🙂

      1. I believe you can. I particularly enjoy your writing because it’s just about love and all it’s possibilities. It makes me think about it’s depths and different aspects.

                1. I think I know a lot more about agape, storge and philea than eros John.

Goldfinch has been trying to help me catch up in that regard.

But love is something I do have a very high regard for. I am sure we would not even exist if not for the love of our Creator 🙂

    1. Thank you 🙂 I have really enjoyed the past year I must admit. I feel really glad that I have come into contact with some amazing bloggers. I would love to carry on (probably cutting back a little with my posts – I think one a day maximum) but it’s great fun to be in contact with so many interesting and creative peeps 🙂

            1. Of course!!!
I have not had any cake throughout April! I still intend to try the recipes of the bloggers who participated, but I couldn’t face any more cake after baking three myself…and I want to look gorgeous for Goldfinch when I see him so I am trying to stay away from sweet things 🙂

    1. lol – I am still trying to learn how to knit. I am not doing to badly with the basic stitch, thought I keep dropping stitches, but I cannot cast on without help. So far it’s triangular shaped patches with holes in….but if I make enough of them, maybe I could sew them together into some sort of sock entity?

    1. I found the first couple of months painful! Hardly anyone was looking at my posts. But when other more experienced bloggers reached out and left me supportive and encouraging comments it meant the world!
