Runaway

Trying to stay still and silent

Overwhelmed with fear

Shivering in the frigid air

Will he find me here?

Waiting for darkness to close in

Run throughout the night

Strong enough to keep on running

Too weak for a fight

Terrified as he pursues me

Tracks me through the snow

What did I do to deserve this?

You don’t want to know!

    1. Aaaaw Jay-lyn that is such a huge compliment. Thank you so much. ❤
This was a bit different for me, but I was pleased with it.
Poetry is one of those "need to work on" aspects of writing for me, but I am trying more often now.

    1. You are so sweet! I am enjoying writing, this is fun and the different writing prompts are pushing me to be write in different styles and genres to anything I am used to. I would not know where to begin with writing a book – literally, I don’t understand the process. I get the impression from other writers that working on a book is a gruelling process and that only a handful of people ever buy the book after they have put all that effort in. It seems a tad demoralising. Whereas blogging is very encouraging. The lovely comments I receive push me to keep on writing and trying to improve my posts.
