Those Happy Hours

time.jpgJim Adams, aka Newepicauthor, the creator of A Unique Title For Me, is hosting SONG-LYRIC-SUNDAY and this week he has chosen the theme:

MINUTES/HOURS/DAYS/WEEKS/MONTHS

IMG_20180722_123051 (2)Well…I had a panic just now because I realized I had prepared a post for next week’s theme!! So as soon as I realized my mistake, I thought which songs springs straight to mind…and there was one! Only one (although I am sure there are lots!!) came to mind and as soon as I thought about it, I also realized that anyone who has read my posts about Goldfinch will know exactly who this post makes me think of!!! Love him so much!

BAKEThis is the only post from me today that is not related to cakes and baking! But just a reminder, please join in the fun today as we roll the cake parade. Wonderful bloggers have been baking and have sent in photos of their creations. We would love you to support our baking bloggers and have a look at their amazing bakes.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

(I can’t stop loving you)
I’ve made up my mind
To live in memory of the lonesome times
(I can’t stop wanting you)
It’s useless to say
So I’ll just live my life in dreams of yesterday
(Dreams of yesterday)
Those happy hours that we once knew
Tho’ long ago, they still make me blue
They say that time heals a broken heart
But time has stood still since we’ve been apart

(I can’t stop loving you)
I’ve made up my mind
To live in memories of the lonesome times
(I can’t stop wanting you)
It’s useless to say
So I’ll just live my life in dreams of yesterday
(Those happy hours)
Those happy hours
(That we once knew)
That we once knew
(Tho’ long ago)
Tho’ long ago
(Still make me blue)
Still ma-a-a-ake me blue
(They say that time)
They say that time
(Heals a broken heart)
Heals a broken heart
(But time has stood still)
Time has stood still
(Since we’ve been apart)
Since we’ve been apart

(I can’t stop loving you)
I said I made up my mind
To live in memory of the lonesome times
(Sing a song, children)
(I can’t stop wanting you)
It’s useless to say
So I’ll just live my life of dreams of yesterday
(Of yesterday)

    1. Thanks Jim!!! I rather neglected SONG-LYRIC-SUNDAY yesterday because of all the cakes posts I was working on, but I am going to go through your SLS post now and have a listen to the tunes everyone else chose!
