I have decided not to work on a response to Rory’s Oh No Way/Oh So Way questions this week, only because I don’t think my post would be anywhere near as interesting as those from the other bloggers who have answered those questions.
My there are certainly some bloggers out there who have stories! (Whether or not we will hear more shall wait to be seen I suppose.) After reading the posts from other bloggers, I have realized that I clearly have lived a very quiet and calm life.
There was one question that almost everyone seemed to have an identical response to:
Rory asked if bloggers had
WORN CROCS
These are some of the answers I have seen from other bloggers:
Worn Crocs oh no way
Worn Crocs — Oh no ***** way!
Worn Crocs – So No Way – ewwwww, I mean seriously? ewwwww
Worn Crocs. NO WAY. Too ***** ugly for me.
No Way ~ yuck! Ugly! They don’t even look comfortable. I’ll go barefoot or wear my flip flops.
Worn Crocs No way. Why in Hades would anyone wear a crocodile? Are they insane? Crocs have huge teeth and eat everything!

Now…this post is in no way me taking offence at what other bloggers have posted (I am a happy little flower who does not get upset by other bloggers 🙂 )
However…I am going to admit I started to wonder – am I the only person who buys, wears and loves Crocs???
Well, no, I know am not because all of the sixty members of our house-keeping team wore Crocs. They were the best work shoes for us. So light on your feet and comfortable…and they can get wet. That is the main reason why we chose them, we were cleaning wet rooms and bathrooms and kitchen areas with lots of water splashing around.
We were all aged between 20-40 years old and we were concerned with the shape of the Crocs we wore. I didn’t see many pairs of those big bulbous Crocs. We bought the sleeker, more slender styles and we rocked them!
The other place I wear Crocs is on the beach (when the sand is too hot to walk on). In the past the sand has ruined sandals I have worn and if you wear proper shoes you are emptying the sand out for the next six months. But a pair of Crocs they are so easy to clean and of course a very light weight addition to my beach kit.
Can’t really talk about Crocs so much without spinning everybody’s favourite Crocodile tune! Crocs are so misunderstood!!!
Yay! Finally someone (you) who likes Crocs! I read a lot of the responses like you did, and most were horrified that anyone would wear them. I don’t get it…I love them!! I haven’t worn anything but Crocs for many years. I have the regular ones, and also the flip flop kind. You’re right, they are so comfortable, and easy to clean. For me, I have issues with balance and fear of slipping and falling. Crocs were my solution to remedy both! Thank you! 🙂

Plus I forgot to mention my stake-hold in Crocs inc.
Joking!
No I seriously love them…I am picky about the colours and style, but the Crocs I have are great.

That makes sense. I would get them for the beach if I went a lot.

Oh my gosh I love this. Having worked in the restaurant biz, as well as growing up in the mountains by rocky rivers, I also wore crocs. That said are they the most fashionable of shoe? Nope, but like Uggs they have a purpose 🙂 ❤

Absolutely! 🙂
I must admit I am picky about the style of Crocs I wear…but they are great for a little light shoe that can get wet.

Oh they’re cute! Unfortunately for me, I can’t wear high heals.
Either I fall with them (yes ma’am, I did fall a few times, on the streets!)
Or it is not a good idea for my back as I have some issues. I have to wear mostly flat shoes.

At 5 foot 8 inches – I prefer flats. I don’t like to tower above my friends.

My objection is flip flops, the old ones? Flat rubber with thst noise at every step? Yuck!

Goldfinch used to call his flip-flops “thongs”. I thought it was hilarious when he talked about how much he liked his thongs and needed his thongs for the beach. I was a giggling wreck.
Here thongs are only highly uncomfortable underwear.

I’ve never worn Crocs, but back in the day I wore sandals with soles made from pieces of rubber car tires, so who am I to complain about Crocs?

🙂 Well…I am all for recycling!
This was not really a whinge!
I was just having a laugh 🙂

Woo! Someone else who likes wearing crocs. Lighter than shoes, sturdier than flip-flops, look great on the beach or working in the garden. Really glad I’ve gotten used to them 🙂

I don’t know why people think Crocs are ugly. I’ve had and been wearing them since they first appeared. I think they are very clever, come in many colors and styles and are easy to keep clean and take care of. And they are super comfortable which is the best thing about them!

I have loved them for house-keeping, wearing on the beach and just relaxing at home.
Years ago I remember seeing people wearing them for events were everyone else was dressed in smart attire and I must admit, they looked rather odd then.
